Important facts related to SI Exam

• Post – Sub Inspector and sergeant
• Application time – July to August

• Fee for the exam – Rs 270 for General category students and Rs 20 for SC or ST candidates.

Eligibility criteria

• Age – 21 to 27 years, but SC/ST are allowed 5 years of relaxation, and OBC candidates will get 3 years of relaxation.
• Education requirement – Completed bachelor’s degree. Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing in Bengali.

Apart from this, you also have to pass physical measurement and medical fitness examinations.

SI Exam Pattern

• Prelims

50 questions of 100 marks from General Studies.

25 questions of 50 marks from Numerical Ability.

25 questions of 50 marks from Logical Reasoning

• Physical Measurement Test

Your height and weight will be tested

• Physical Efficiency Test

You have to complete an 800-metre run in 3 minutes

• Mains

Paper 1 includes General Studies, and Paper 2 includes English. It contains 200 marks, and the duration is 3 hours.

• Interview

You will have to appear for a personality and general awareness test. It contains 30 marks.

• Verification

The documents of the elected candidates will be tested.

• Medical Examination

The selected candidates have to undergo a medical test.
