As per the national scheme of 1975, the government of India operates ICDS or Integrated Child Development Services. According to this program, the government is liable to pay for food, primary healthcare, education at the preschool level and other basic needs for children below six and their mothers. Exam Pattern

ICDS holds exams in three rounds – Prelims, Mains and Interviews.

Prelims

• Subjects – Arithmetic, Reasoning and General Knowledge
• Total Marks – 100
• Duration – 1 hour

Mains

The mains exam has four papers

• Paper 1 – English
• Paper 2 – Bengali/ Santhali/ Urdu/ Hindi/ Nepali
• Paper 3 – General Studies and Current affairs
• Paper 4 – Arithmetic

Each paper is of 100 marks. The duration is of 90 minutes.

Salary

ICDS Supervisor offers a pay scale between Rs.7,100-37,600 with grade pay of Rs 3,600. The Anganwadi workers get paid between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,500 a month. Anganwadi helpers get between Rs 1500 to Rs 2250 a month.
