Eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL

You should have a fair idea about the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The criteria can be divided into three parts –

• Education qualification
• Nationality or citizenship

Age Limit

SSC CHSL has an age limit for the exam. You have to be between 18 and 27 years to appear for the test. However, just like other government jobs, it also provides some relaxation to different groups.

Educational Qualification

You should pass your higher secondary or class 12 exam to become eligible for the exam. You can be a distant education pursuer, but it should be recognised by IGNOU.

Nationality or Citizenship

You should be a citizen of India, Tibet, Bhutan or Nepal before 1 January 1962.

Eligibility criteria of skill test

You should be a student of science in class 12 with Mathematics from a recognised board to pass the skill test for the Data Entry Operator post.

Number of Attempts

The recruiting body has not set any criteria for several attempts, but it has set specific age criteria. Therefore, you should be within the given age limit to attempt the test. You should be between 18 and 27 to become eligible for the test.
