The Staff Selection Commission selects candidates for the SSC MTS. The application portal generally opens in January, and the deadline is in February. The exam selects candidates for Group C General Central Service. They are non-gazetted officers who are employed in various departments, ministries and government offices. The computer-based examination will take place in April 2023 for the posts of Multitasking Staff and Havaldar.

The exam pattern has also changed this year. This year, the candidates have to appear for a computer-based examination of 270 marks.

Eligibility criteria

Do not forget to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. You should at least complete your class 10 level examination within the period mentioned in the job notice. As for the age limits, SSC has created two age groups and has listed vacancies for both groups separately.

Group 1 – age ranges between 18 and 25

Group 2 – age ranges between 18 and 27

SSC has also allowed relaxation for various reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC and others.
